A goal of the development of King’s Grant is to provide first time home ownership opportunities. The easy maintenance residences, environmental focus and picturesque natural setting will also attract buyers wishing to down-size to a simpler lifestyle. Homes in King’s Grant will be rated according to their level of environmentally sustainable elements. Factors may include solar panels, recycled content of building materials, native or adapted plant materials in the landscape, and the use of captured rainwater for landscape irrigation, to name a few.

The trail system will link together neighborhoods and their residents to the vast amount of preserved wetlands areas and enhanced open space, approximately 30% of the total acreage. Residents will have the opportunity to visit the arboretum and botanical gardens, tour the facility’s educational centers and learn about plant materials that thrive in the region. The buildings will also serve as meeting centers for various groups and entertainment venues for weddings and parties. Residents with canine family members will appreciate the planned dog parks for exercising pups and communing with fellow dog lovers.
